INTRODUCTION

The Jorge Semprún Online Resource Center is conceived as an open platform for the scholarly study of this author, his life, his work, and his times. Our goal is to bring together the largest possible variety of theoretical perspectives, materials, and opinions.

To this end, the site will offer many resources, including (1) a bibliographical index of Jorge Semprún's writings, as well as an up-to-date index of scholarly publications; (2) an index of scholars and enthusiasts; (3) digital archives with reproductions of primary documents, secondary documents, photographs, videos, audio recordings, and any other material that will facilitate study; (4) a peer-reviewed journal, and (5) a forum for online discussion, to which visitors may post their comments, questions, and advice.

The site will be available in English, Spanish, French, and German, the major languages in which Jorge Semprún's work is studied.
